Casey Blood was born in 1939 in southern Ohio.
He received a PhD in physics from Case Western Reserve, in 1965.
After two years at Brookhaven National Laboratory and three years at the University of Rochester, he settled down as Associate Professor of Physics at Rutgers University for thirty years. He is now “retired” and doing what he loves best, full-time research on quantum physics and its implications (a project started in 1964). His other interests include ‘green’ energy sources, understanding the connection between brain function and consciousness, travel, hiking, and occasionally some ping pong.
